About Me.
Helping children and families thrive through therapy, technology and advocacy support & collaboration
Through Cain Nimtz Consulting, my goal is to empower parents, educators, and therapists with guidance and personalized strategies to support children’s academic success through the lens of an occupational therapist, assistive technology consultant and parent of children with multiple disabilities.
I am an occupational therapist and mother of three with over 15 years of experience serving the pediatric population in a variety of roles and settings including working in the public school setting for the last 12 years. In my role as an AT Consultant, occupational therapist, I have provided training sessions, presentations and courses at local, state and national conferences & have guest lectured at the collegiate level on numerous occasions.
On a personal level, I am blessed with three adopted children through foster care. Given their complex histories, two children have diagnosis and needs that require multiple therapies and additional medical care. Additionally, I serve as guardian for my brother-in-law, an adult with the diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Even as an occupational therapist, nothing could have prepared me for this parenting journey! Not only have I picked up therapy tips and tricks along the way, I am walking the path of a parent of children with special needs and all of its struggles. This has given her a unique perspective and passion to help other children and families thrive. My work, hobbies, and family structure are a direct result of my passion for guiding others, my dedication to the communities in which I live, and my commitment to personal and professional excellence.
I currently work part-time for Hamilton County Education Service Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio as an occupational therapist and AT Consultant.
I am currently teaching graduate level classes as an adjunct professor at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
